The shelled remains of Hopkins and Hopkins Jewellers famous for making the GAA all Ireland football Trophy “The Sam Maguire”. Hopkins and Hopkins was occupied by the Volunteers as an outpost of the GPO garrison at the southerly end of Sackville Street. The Dublin Bread Company still standing after the bombardment in the background. Dubliners out on the streets to view the destruction of the past week. A Dublin Metropolitan Police (The DMP) man prevents access to Sackville Street and a British soldier mingles with the crowd.
